Lisboa - IBJJF Europeans

A little bit late but here is my week in Lisbon.

I went to the IBJJF Europeans with high dreams, but in the end it did not work out how I planned it in my head...I lost my first fight, so it was already over for me. How everyone else that prepared for this comps who lost, I got emotional and I was really disappointed by myself. The only way to build me about was with a lot of chocolate after those months of sacrifices. The good point you appreciate all those sweets and food in general much more after a hard diet, so my advice to you try out clean for a couple of month even just for the expierence of it! Believe me you will feel better!

In our time spare time outside of the hall we enjoyed some sightseeing in Lisbon. I have to say it is a truly beautiful city with a lot to see and so much flair. I highly recommend to visit the city and if you just want the big experience of a competition, it would be the perfect opportunity in Lisbon. All those little coffee shops, the old town and the delicious food makes it a perfect place to be! And it is cheap aswell! I am looking forward to be there again!

After this week of a lot of new experiences, good moments and binge eating. I had to travel back to Zurich, there was a Caio Terra seminar on the agenda in my gym. Because my flight was not on schedule I arrived a little late, the techniques showed was outstanding and afterwards we had some belt ceremonies. After all I had a very good week.

Making weight

My way of Making weight
 Everyone that had to cut weight for a competition know, how hard it can be to stick with it. It is not always an easy way, you will struggle from time to time. One thing for me, you just every time it is getting hard remember why you do it, picture yourself on top of the podia or after all is finish how you eat your favourite meal! 

The other aspect, I went to a nutritionist, to get a diet plan, it is not just for cutting weight! The only thing you have to change is to increase the intake of the food, so you have a healthy food plan for your daily life! And I have to say it makes a big difference in my performance.

If you can, I would advise you to take professional help for a healthier food choice and see how it affects your performance! And of course from time to time, get a cheat day in too enjoy it even more!

And once you reached your goal, you will feel great! At least, that how I felt when I reached my weight!
